The German Consulate General in Vancouver organized again a German spelling bee with our school. Natasha Daiminger of the consulate conducted the ‘Buchstabierwettbewerb’ this year in the online format. Weeks ago, the students received a list with 60 words they had to practice.
The first part was in a massive Zoom meeting with all the participating student from all classes who used the chat functionality of the Zoom program to spell the competition words. The second part consisted of the finalists of each class and now the spelling bee was going live and the students had to spell the words out loud. We were deeply impressed by their spelling skills.
