School Year ends with a Bang
The 50th anniversary school year 2021/22 came to an end on May 14, 2022 with a day filled with celebrations, fun and games.
After the morning classes students, parents, teachers and board members gathered in the lobby before the official part of the day.

So many Good-Byes
Unfortunately, this school year is another sad record, as we are saying good-bye to 7 teachers.
Above all, our Preschool Teacher Gita Matthew is leaving after more than 35 years. With her unparalleled way of connecting with our youngest students, she has left an unforgettable mark on our school. She will be dearly missed but she promised to still visit and even helping out.

Furthermore, we are saying good-bye to Trea Low who took teaching during the pandemic to another level by creating two YouTube series for our students to learn German hands-on in a bakery and a consignment store.
The other teachers leaving the school are Kerstin Lindert, Rebecca Rechlin, Maya Matthew, Carola Schaub and Melissa Glasner.
We wish them all the best for the future and thank them for teaching at our school.

The sole warrior
It is tradition, that on the last day of the school year, the DSD 2 students of Anke Sabo are presented with their diploma. This year, only Alexa Hersch was writing the exam and she passed this challenging exam in January. Congratulations!

Fun & Games
After the official part was over, the students were looking forward to some games. Due to the unfortunate wet weather, all the activities had to be organized inside. The teachers changed the venue quickly and did a great job setting up the seven inside stations Eierlauf, Fallschirmspiel, Torwandschießen, Kanon singen, Luftballon sprengen, Sackhüpfen und Seilspringen.
During the morning classes, youth author Tini Wider visited the senior classes to read from her time travelling novel “Zeitenchaos”.

The principal and the teachers wishing the students and their families a fabulous summer and we will see us again on September 10, 2022 for the next school year!
