Our school kicked off the new year with a new much-loved tradition: our Neujahrsfrühstück. This relaxed German-style breakfast brought our community together in the best possible way, around beautifully set tables, great conversations and plenty of delicious food.
This year’s event was a wonderful success, with 39 breakfasts ordered and happily enjoyed by parents and friends of the school. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, setting the tone for a positive and connected year ahead.
A special highlight of the breakfast was the classic Bavarian spread. Guests enjoyed Weisswurst served with pretzels, fresh German buns and an assortment of cold cuts. We are very grateful to Altmärker Deli for generously donating the cold cuts and helping to make the breakfast truly authentic.
Behind the scenes, the event was made possible by an incredible team of volunteers, led by Anna Brodziuk. From planning and preparation to serving and cleanup, their dedication and teamwork ensured that everything ran smoothly and that every guest felt well looked after.
The Neujahrsfrühstück is more than just a meal. It is a moment to pause, reconnect after the holidays and celebrate the sense of community that defines the Surrey German Language School. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all volunteers, sponsors and guests who contributed to making this event such a memorable start to the year.
