Fasching 2022
Finally it was time again to celebrate the traditional German Fasching or Karneval. The carnival session, also known as the “Fifth Season”, begins each year on November 11th at 11:11 a.m. and finishes on Ash Wednesday of the following year with the main festivities happening around Rosenmontag (Rose Monday). Read more about carnival on our heritage page.
This year Preschool teacher Gita Matthew organized a special photo booth for all the classes with the help of photographers Belinda and Aryan Saed. The photos turned out fabulous and the students had lots of fun creating them.
Then the students did their ‘Karnevalsumzug’ or polonaise. Thank you to everyone for the great costumes! We had so much fun and are happy to be able to share the German tradition of ‘Fasching’ with our members and families.

We would like to thank Gita Matthew for the organization and especially the Saed family for setting up the photo booth and taking the photos.
