The Surrey German Language School offers internationally recognized Saturday morning language classes for children from Preschool, Kindergarten to Grade 12 and for Adults.
Our German teachers develop our students’ ability to read, write, understand and converse in German and, in addition, offer a broad understanding of the history and culture of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Our School in British Columbia is a place where students and their families also join our community and experience German heritage traditions.
We believe everyone has the capability to learn to speak German and we give our students the tools to develop their full potential.

Our Curriculum is correlated with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in order to prepare our students for internationally recognized certificates of German Language Proficiency.
Throughout all the classes from Kindergarten to the Certificate Classes our focus is always on the following four main examination parts:

Schools play a vital role in helping students become global citizens by giving them access to language and culture. As the world continually becomes more connected, the importance of multilingualism cannot be ignored.
The Goethe-Institut Toronto travelled across Canada to speak with educators, students, employers and those who are professionally benefiting from their German language knowledge.
